Problem updating windows live essentials 2016
So, I tried to download Windows Essentials from Microsoft's website, thinking I would be able to access my Windows Live Mail emails once again; however, I received a message stating that Windows Live Essentials has already been installed - yet, it has not.
I have tried again and again to install Windows Live Essentials, but it seems to only go part way through and then quits, with a message asking me if the program installed properly.
He agreed to meet me online, and sure enough, Windows Live Essentials was not installing properly.
Even though it said it was installed, there was no executable for Windows Live Mail anywhere to be found on the system.
It is designed to work with the new Outlook.com, offers a more modern and touch-friendly interface, and integrates elegantly with the Windows platform.
(Others have their Live Mail accounts connected to Gmail and/or other clients.
From Microsoft's blog post on May 5 about the migration problem:"If you currently use Windows Live Mail 2012 to connect to Outlook.com, we recommend that you switch to the Mail app on Windows (before your account is upgraded).
Microsoft routinely releases security updates on the second Tuesday of each month (Patch Tuesday), but can provide them whenever a new update is urgently required to prevent a newly discovered or prevalent exploit targeting Windows users.
System administrators can configure Windows Update to install critical updates automatically so long as the computer has an Internet mobile connection, without the user needing to install them manually, or even be aware that an update is required.
